Brisbane Scuba trips and Covid-19

We require that all patrons are vaccinated against Covid-19 and you will need to check in using the Check In Qld app and show your green tick to the boat skipper and dive staff.

Events outside of Brisbane Scuba’s control:

Please be advised that to ensure the safety and comfort of all, dive trips may need to be postponed due to poor environmental conditions. We will endeavour to contact everyone concerned, but sometimes this could be at short notice. Postponement due to uneconomically viable custom is regrettable, but in the event of either of these circumstances the decision to proceed with the trip is at the discretion of Brisbane Scuba management.

Other important considerations:

  1. The trip destination is determined by environmental conditions. Safety is paramount.
  2. You must be fit to dive and have had no medical conditions that may affect your ability to dive.
  3. You are not on any prescription medications that may affect your ability to dive.
  4. You must show proof of dive certification to dive staff on day of dive.
  5. Mandatory safety requirements – SMB (safety sausage), dive whistle and dive knife are essential safety equipment and must be carried by all certified divers.
  6. Divers are advised to wait a minimum of 18 hours before flying in a pressurised aircraft. Where divers have performed multiple dives over multiple days, a wait of 24 hours is advised.
  7. A light Snack is provided between dives. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions. If you would like to bring your own lunch, space is provided on the boat.
  8. If hire scuba equipment obtained from Brisbane Scuba is lost or broken, you will be responsible for financial replacement.
